House Updates

My Bathroom is FINALLY finished!! Dad installed the mirror and shower door Monday. I can finally see myself. It makes the bathroom look so much bigger. I'm glad I waited and splurged for the full mirror instead of two framed mirrors. I like this look so much better.
I've been taking a shower in our shower even without a shower door, but tonight I will finally be able to take one without water going into the tub. The silicon is try, I cleaned the glass, and it's ready for use. Maybe kev will take one in here now and I will only have one shower to clean.
I did all the touch up painting Monday. I peeled/sanded the paint off the trim piece on the back doors for some reason the paint peeled. Dad isn't sure why. It's never happened to him before. I'm sure it's the painter and that would be me!  The doors are the only painting that is left and I have to get more paint tomorrow. We wanted to make sure it didn't peel before we purchased more. I plan on doing that before April 5th. I'm having a baby shower here and I want everything finished. I've been nesting this week and I'm not even pregnant. Dad finished the chimney (I don't have a picture) last weekend. I think the only thing left to do before the appraiser can come out and we can close on the house is putting the hardware on the pocket doors and caulking the baseboards.

Football Merchandise

It's football season and Walmart has all their Razorback merchandise out. I was browsing the aisle the other day and saw these. I immediately thought whiskey! A great way to sneak liquor into the stadium. Of course the back says intended for water only. Yeah right! No one looks at this and says water.

And a Roof

They finished the roof up today! Back of the house. Front of the house. They use these to hold the plywood together.

Ballyseede Castle

Tralle was a good stopping point from Dingle to Doolin. When looking for places to stay I came across the Ballyseede Castle Hotel. It was a little pricey, but since we had such great deals on all of the other B&Bs, I splurged. It's one of the best known Castle Hotels in Ireland, has a history dating back to the 1590’s and sits on 30 acres of native woodlands. The castle has 23 en-suite bedrooms and 3 beautiful private rooms complimented by enchanting formal gardens. To read about the history of the castle click here. We stayed in the Coghill room.   We had a nice view of the gardens. Here are other pictures from inside the castle. We had to have our picture made with the knights.   We Googled and found a restaurant in town that was supposed to be delicious. It was nestled on the shore overlooking the bay. We arrived about 5:30 and watched the sunset. The food was fabulous, however the service was not. ...
