In This Crazy Life...

Before all of the Covid-19 started, our name was on the lake house calendar. We decided to still go. Since I have been working from home, I left Thursday afternoon. I had cooked my brother dinner and baked him a loaf of bread. I also stopped by my parent's house to give them their loaf of bread and I got a delicious strawberry cake for my birthday. I my have eaten almost the whole thing by myself. Don't judge. It was breakfast, lunch and dinner for a few days.  Indy is not use to me sitting in a recliner. She did not like the fact that she could not sit beside me. After lots of pacing she decide there was room enough fro both of us. I worked some Friday morning. I had three 504 conferences via Zoom and a staff meeting and then went for a walk. My Mom and I went to Canton for my Birthday! I had never been and really wanted to go and since my birthday last year was not the happiest, we decided to go for it. I love it! We left at 5:00 Friday morning we were shopping by 10:00.  We started with booths outside. It was more like a flea market. The building had boutiques and stores with furniture already refinished. The paths winded around until we were back at the front. We felt like we missed the whole middle, but we didn't have a map. Since it was scorching hot, we walked through the buildings. We shopped until about 3:00 and decided to have an early dinner at teh worst Mexican place ever. We were in bed asleep by 8:00.     We arrived at the gate Saturday before 8:00. Our plan was to see the outside middle sections that we missed and head towards the other buildings in the afternoon when it got hot. The shopping mood had come over us. Birthday cupcakes from my mom.  It was just an ok day. We spent the night getting things ready for my grandmother's funeral. It's so hard to believe that all of my grandparents have passed away around my birthday. April 28, 2007 Scott  - We buried him on my birthday. A friend and I had a tripped to Dallas planned with tickets to a concert. She went on down and I flew out as soon as the service was over. I made it just in time for her to pick me up on her way to the venue. April 29, 2008 -Mamaw Terry  April 29, 2014- Mamaw Jo Betty Crazy, I know! Even crazier that both grandmothers were April 29. I just have to look at it as celebrating their lives every year along with mine. If not, I'd be depressed every year on  my birthday. Instead I can celebrate the many wonderful years that I was able to spend with them!

One of my bestie's little girl turned one Friday! Her party was today and I went to help set everything up. She did an amazing job with all the decorations. Gift table Cake table The cake! I brought Kev and I a huge bag of candy home.  The guest tables all had gumball machines for centerpieces.  I love the idea of a candy bar party!! I think the next get together we have at the house I may have one. 

We have moved in!!  We started moving the week after the wedding and had most everything in and settled the first of November. Is the house finished? No. But the inside is livable and we are living in it. My brother still needs to grout the master bath/shower, kitchen back splash, and dog shower. The cabinet man still needs to install cabinets pulls and my appliance garage. The glass guy has to cut glass for master shower and mirrors for bathrooms. Yes. I put my makeup on each morning using a makeup mirror. Our dresser has a mirror and there's a hanging mirror in the living room. I haven't seen my entire body in a month. Oh well, it will all get done. The outside still needs A LOT of work!!!!  It too will get done. It's actually been nice to be living without rent/house payment the last two months.  Everything is unpacked and we have enjoyed having a place large enough for friends to come hang out. I've been wanting a weight stand and Kev got me one for my birthday. Don't they look pretty? Now we/I just need to get back into the groove. I ran regularly for about two weeks with no P90X. Last week I did NOTHING! Kev has been working til dark lately. In the winter that's only til 6:00 but this time of year it doesn't get dark til 8:00. Ugh!! Hopefully we will be able to get back into the swing of things and I can use my new grip pads. They are hanging out on top of my weights.

Kev brought home an ice cream cake for my birthday. I love him! It's made with cake batter ice cream. We've devoured almost half of it already. The man sure does know me.

Sunday was my Aunt Donna's 60th birthday and it was a surprise. A month ago my Uncle asked mom and I along with her daughter-in-law to plan and organize everything. He just gave us the credit card and we had a blast using it. It's always more fun spending someone else's money. Right?  Anyways the theme was "Blast from the Past". We made all kinds of banners displaying pictures of her and popular people, songs, and shows during her lifetime. We decided it would be fun to have a photo booth set up and since it is Halloween season, we were able to find all kinds of fun props. Here are a few pictures from the photo booth.
