Funnies

I love eCards! Most are sarcastic, and true. While looking for some thank you cards at Target I found these. I love them, however you would have to have a very good relationship with the person you send them to because you wouldn't want to offend anyone.

Funny Pinterest Finds

I may have mentioned before that I'm one of those people that have to always be doing something. I can't just sit and watch a movie or TV show. So I end up doing lots of puzzles in the iPad and browsing Pinterest. Here are some funny finds.... I thought this was hilarious!! This one is so me! I never wear pants around the house. Even in the winter. I usually don't even put them on to walk the dogs to their pen. Another reason I like not having close neighbors.  This one also screams ME! Kev even included a line in his vows about always making sure I'm fed when I'm hungry. He knows that I can transform into another person, as does anyone else who really knows me.

Kitchen Towel Obsession

Since moving into the new house, I have been obsessed with kitchen towels. Whether I'm at Target, Walmart, Marshall's, Pier One, I always look at kitchen towels. sometimes I restrain myself from purchasing them and others not so much. I found this one at Walmart. There was another one I wanted too.  These are some other ones I have purchased in the last couple of months. I plan on continuing to expand my collection.  Yesterday I ended up spending three hours helping dad unclog my toilet and flush some mud from tiling the shower out of the pipes. Let me tell you there is nothing more boring than watching water flow through your pipes. Now for a wedding weekend!!!!

Handwriting

Technology has really changed the way we write and communicate. Rarely do you see handwritten letters, recipes, or lists. Instead, you have Pinterest for recipes. Instant messenger, Face Time, Skype, email, and many other applications that allow you to communicate much faster. You even have applications that allow you to make to do lists. Call me old school, but I prefer to write out my lists. Even in college, both undergrad and graduate, I wrote out every paper before I typed it. When I did my national board certification I wrote out every entry, all 60 plus pages before I typed it. Writing things out helps me express myself and organize my thoughts. When it comes to lists; grocery, to do, whatever, I prefer to write them out and I prefer pencil. That way if I mess up I can erase instead of writing the list over again. Yes, I was the child that rewrote the whole page because I messed up a letter at the bottom. I am glad to be able to type for that reason. Anyways a friend shared...

Life Before Pinterest

I pulled out my handy notebook the other day to find a recipe. I thought I'd take out the ones I love, look them up on the Internet, and pin them. Many many years ago I started a notebook to keep all the handy recipes, workouts, makeup and hair tips, and decorating/DIY ideas that came in all my magazines. I spent hours cutting or tearing them out and organizing them with dividers. So now as I come across the recipes I really like, I look them up and Pin them. I know I should really recycle this notebook but I just can't bring myself to do it. Sometimes I have mild hoarder tendencies. I wonder if anyone else out there was OCD enough to keep and organize helpful information from their magazines.

Running Out of Juice

Kev jokes with me because my phone is always dying. I rarely let it charge enough to get a full charge. I charge it long enough for a run or to play around on it again. My phone would die everyday if I didn't keep a charger at school. The other morning I got in my car and realized my gas light was on. Instead of it saying 28 miles to empty, it was flashing dashes. That means it's really low. Yes, I drive to work with it like that I realized I let everything run out of juice before I replenish it.
