In This Crazy Life...

Let me begin by saying I hate snakes, like deathly afraid of them, like I don't even like looking at pictures of them. So I freaked out when I opened the coop one morning to get the eggs and this snake greeted me with an egg in it's mouth. Yes I know it's not a poisonous snake and I probably should have tried to relocate it, but I was scared and it was eating my chicken eggs. I was wondering why they all of a sudden weren't really laying eggs anymore. This is why. They were getting eaten before I could collect them.     I purchased this day bed frame from Wayfair for the office. I managed to get it put together.  

I've felt a little nauseous lately. Saturday night we went to see Jurassic World in 3D and the motion made me a little woosie. Then this morning, I went into summer school, ate my usual breakfast of strawberries and cottage cheese and suddenly felt sick and threw it back up. I walked around to visit some rooms, the whole time feeling yucky. I was sent home to rest. Around noon I felt a little better and was able to keep down a few Triscits.  I got up and started making salsa while I watched City of Ember and Grace is Gone. I wanted a little more flavor and spice this year, so I found a different recipe.   Here is last years recipe. Once again i didn't follow the recipe to a tee. I added Jalapeno peppers and real garlic. I like how it used purple, white, and sweet onions. I also used brown sugar and a little tomato paste. I've been wanting to purchase a few things for the house and I know what I like, but I'm not always sure of myself when putting patterns together. My aunt, the one who did my wedding, has wanted to come help and we finally set aside some time. She spent all day Saturday with me. We started out by walking around the house so that i could tell her what I was thinking and wanting to do. Some of it we would be able to do that day, but others that I would have to get along the way. Once we aren't putting money back for Ireland I can do more furniture buying. I REFUSE to use credit cards anymore!! I do have one, but it's only to earn points and gets paid off every month. Anyways… back to decorating. We shopped At Home, Pier One, Hobby Lobby, and Home Goods. We are needing a new picture for above the fireplace. Something with lots of color. I'm tryig to get each room furnished and decorated slowly but surely. I have been focusing on the guest bedroom. I saw this pillow in Pier One the other day. I want to use these colors in that room. I've got a red duvet cover on that bed. I her got shams to go with it, but I found some at Bed, Bath, and Beyond that match perfectly. I liked this pillow too. I want to use the teal and orange as accent colors. The antique cabinet Kev's dad gave us is in there. I still need a headboard for the bed and at least one side table and lamp. I want to make a headboard out of pallets. I have the pallets. I just have to tear the boards off. I really like this lamp. They had this side table at Ross too.
