V-Day

We had a very low key Valentine's Day. I cooked dinner and we watched a movie.
The Menu:
Cranberry and Feta Salad with Raspberry Vinaigrette
Pan Seared Filet
Roasted Asparagus
Pan-Fried Honey-Lemon Fingerling Potatoes
Peanut Butter Brownies
Everything was delicious! I ran to Home Depot this Saturday Morning to get paint. There's a chance for winter weather Monday. I will have a chance to paint some furniture. I didn't like all the brown on the wall, so I painted my shelves gray. It's the same gray I will use for the hutch.
This was Saturday's forecast, spring like temperatures with a winter storm watch.

Football Merchandise

It's football season and Walmart has all their Razorback merchandise out. I was browsing the aisle the other day and saw these. I immediately thought whiskey! A great way to sneak liquor into the stadium. Of course the back says intended for water only. Yeah right! No one looks at this and says water.

And a Roof

They finished the roof up today! Back of the house. Front of the house. They use these to hold the plywood together.

Our Kitchen

My favorite room in the whole house!! We still need to put the cabinet pulls on the cabinets. I have them picked out, I think dad has ordered them. We also still have to trim out the appliance garage, microwave, and fridge. The trim pieces are in the garage. I absolutely love being able to cook while watching TV and the open space for entertaining.  There is so much storage! I can finally buy in bulk or buy two of something when it is on sale. I literally had one cabinet for food storage in the rent house. Everything was neatly crammed in there. Now I can actually get something without taking everything out.
