Our Weekend - Part One

Saturday morning Kev got up early to work. I caught up on my TV shows and cleaning. The animals enjoyed some bed time.
I looked up and found this precious baby at my door. I tried and tried to get her to go home but she just stared at me. I finally called the number on her collar and she belonged to the neighbor at the bottom of the hill. He sent someone to pick her up. I felt really bad for her. She's his hunting dog and stays penned up most of the time. I never see her, but hear her howl all the time.
Saturday night a friend brought chains and tongs to move these 12 foot logs out of the way. They are ready to take to the mill. We just have to get the pine tree cut into sections.
Then we burned another pile of brush and branches.
The moon's reflection on the pond was beautiful. This picture does not do it justice.

Football Merchandise

It's football season and Walmart has all their Razorback merchandise out. I was browsing the aisle the other day and saw these. I immediately thought whiskey! A great way to sneak liquor into the stadium. Of course the back says intended for water only. Yeah right! No one looks at this and says water.

And a Roof

They finished the roof up today! Back of the house. Front of the house. They use these to hold the plywood together.

Dogwoods

Sunday I inventoried our Dogwood Trees. We have 24 total. Some are just small bushes. There are probably about 12 big trees. I marked them so that when we are clearing brush later we won't kill them. My hope is to clear out some around them so they can all grow into large trees. They are absolutely beautiful to look at!!! I want to get some more pictures, but I got Poison Ivy on my legs the other day so I'm staying out of the woods for now.
