Snow Day # 3

A small snow storm came through last night. I woke up to an inch of snow. After school announcing last night that we would be open, this mooring they we were on a two-hour delay. I went ahead and got up at 5:30 and made coffee while I watched the news. A teacher friend and I were texting back and forth. By 7:30 the district had decided to close for the whole day. Since I was up I decided to build a fire and have my coffee. I did all of my school work yesterday, so today I will finalize our Ireland itenerary.

I love our land. We have some amazing views.
The dogs love eating snow.

Recreation of London Beef and Mushroom Pie

While in London I ate this wonderful beef and mushroom pie! I wanted to recreate it and use some of the deer steak in our freezer. I found this recipe . Of course like most recipes I tweaked it a little. I added green peas and left out the celery. I also used pie crust instead of puffed pastry. I made individual ones in these cute Corningware dishes. They were delicious!

Can't Wait to Finally Have a Garage!

This morning it was 28 degrees outside! I warmed my car up for 20 minutes and all the frost still wasn't off the windows. I can't wait til next winter when I will have a garage to park in. Not only for winter months but all months truly. In the fall I always get acorns and leaves stuck in my window. In the summer my car is always covered in bird poop and hot and in spring it's covered in pollen. Just one of the reasons I'm so excited about building a house. Having garage to park in!

A Sunday Swim

Sunday afternoon we decided to take a drive. When it was time for the dogs to get in their pen, Hatfield refused. He just stood at the car door. He wanted to go to. So we loaded them up and headed out. Our drive took us to a small lake about 20 minutes always. I didn't even know it existed. Anyways, we let the dogs swim. They loved it! Watch Lilly leap like a dolphin. Hilarious! Or at least it is to us.
