Day of Birth

Birthday cupcakes from my mom. 
It was just an ok day. We spent the night getting things ready for my grandmother's funeral. It's so hard to believe that all of my grandparents have passed away around my birthday.
  • April 28, 2007 Scott  - We buried him on my birthday. A friend and I had a tripped to Dallas planned with tickets to a concert. She went on down and I flew out as soon as the service was over. I made it just in time for her to pick me up on her way to the venue.
  • April 29, 2008 -Mamaw Terry 
  • April 29, 2014- Mamaw Jo Betty
Crazy, I know! Even crazier that both grandmothers were April 29. I just have to look at it as celebrating their lives every year along with mine. If not, I'd be depressed every year on  my birthday. Instead I can celebrate the many wonderful years that I was able to spend with them!

Pool Time!

We spent the weekend at our friends' pool. We took the dogs with us Sunday so they could have a play date. M and B have to pit bulls that are so sweet. Nahla, the youngest one, loves to play! They were also puppy sitting the cutest beagle ever!  They absolutely love going places! They were waiting in the car while I was loading our things.  I've never been able to get Hatfield in the pool, but Lilly loves it. She started off just sitting on the steps and one day she just jumped in. So, now she jumps in every now and then to cool off. Kev mixed up refreshing peach mojitos (I guess I've had major peach craving lately) this weekend. I'd share the recipe but that's his job. I never really know what all goes into what I'm drinking. I just know it's delicious!

The Crud

I feel like crud! I've blown my nose so much this weekend that my face is raw and red. I can't imagine how I have this much snot in me. Anyways. I didn't get my Thursday 3 miler in or my 9 mile long run this weekend. How can I run when I can't freaking breathe?!? I've been taking medicine and using my Nettie Pot, so here's hoping I feel like running towards the end of this week. So glad this is a short work week and a field trip on Wednesday. I NEED a break!!
