Upcoming Races

Registration for the St. Jude Half Marathon opened June 1. I signed up that day. It's sells out quickly. I also booked us a room because they go fast too. I couldn't get anything close without staying two nights and this year we are only staying Friday. There's too much going on this fall, so we didn't need to spend the money on a second night.

My running friend texted me today asking me to run the Casa Half Marathon with her in PB. It supports a battered women's shelter down there.

So, now I am signed up for two half marathons on back to back Saturdays!!
I just hope to find time to properly train with moving and the wedding. If not, oh well. It won't be the first time.

This is the new shirt I'm getting Kev to wear. Of course it won't be pink. He doesn't actually hold a sign. He holds all the clothes I take off and makes sure he's at various pooling to take pictures. Maybe they can custom make me one for that.
I like these for me! I'm not fast. I average around 10-12 minute mile.

Football Merchandise

It's football season and Walmart has all their Razorback merchandise out. I was browsing the aisle the other day and saw these. I immediately thought whiskey! A great way to sneak liquor into the stadium. Of course the back says intended for water only. Yeah right! No one looks at this and says water.

And a Roof

They finished the roof up today! Back of the house. Front of the house. They use these to hold the plywood together.

Ballyseede Castle

Tralle was a good stopping point from Dingle to Doolin. When looking for places to stay I came across the Ballyseede Castle Hotel. It was a little pricey, but since we had such great deals on all of the other B&Bs, I splurged. It's one of the best known Castle Hotels in Ireland, has a history dating back to the 1590’s and sits on 30 acres of native woodlands. The castle has 23 en-suite bedrooms and 3 beautiful private rooms complimented by enchanting formal gardens. To read about the history of the castle click here. We stayed in the Coghill room.   We had a nice view of the gardens. Here are other pictures from inside the castle. We had to have our picture made with the knights.   We Googled and found a restaurant in town that was supposed to be delicious. It was nestled on the shore overlooking the bay. We arrived about 5:30 and watched the sunset. The food was fabulous, however the service was not. ...
