Plumbing Pipes and Cabinets

The plumber came up this week and started putting the pipes in the walls. The picture below is the laundry room.
This pipe goes out the roof.
The master bath. The plumber is going to have to move the pipe for the sink on the left over. He thought that was the end of the wall, but it's a pocket door and there is another foot of wall.
The guest bathtub.
I was finally able to get a picture of the back of the house. The framing crew's trailer has been in the way. It's very similar to the front. eventually there will be a screened porch off the master bedroom (the small doorway).
I met with the cabinet man yesterday. He has done cabinet work for my dad for over 20 years and become a family friend. He is going to make me amazing custom cabinets! Every cabinet in the kitchen will have pull out shelves! I will have spice drawers by the stove and deep drawers with compartments for trays and platters. He is making a pull out recycling/ dog food cabinet in the laundry room and putting cabinets above the toilets in the bathroom for extra storage.

The Crud

I feel like crud! I've blown my nose so much this weekend that my face is raw and red. I can't imagine how I have this much snot in me. Anyways. I didn't get my Thursday 3 miler in or my 9 mile long run this weekend. How can I run when I can't freaking breathe?!? I've been taking medicine and using my Nettie Pot, so here's hoping I feel like running towards the end of this week. So glad this is a short work week and a field trip on Wednesday. I NEED a break!!

Ballyseede Castle

Tralle was a good stopping point from Dingle to Doolin. When looking for places to stay I came across the Ballyseede Castle Hotel. It was a little pricey, but since we had such great deals on all of the other B&Bs, I splurged. It's one of the best known Castle Hotels in Ireland, has a history dating back to the 1590’s and sits on 30 acres of native woodlands. The castle has 23 en-suite bedrooms and 3 beautiful private rooms complimented by enchanting formal gardens. To read about the history of the castle click here. We stayed in the Coghill room.   We had a nice view of the gardens. Here are other pictures from inside the castle. We had to have our picture made with the knights.   We Googled and found a restaurant in town that was supposed to be delicious. It was nestled on the shore overlooking the bay. We arrived about 5:30 and watched the sunset. The food was fabulous, however the service was not. ...

Winter Weather Cancels Marathon

This weekend was supposed to be the St. Jude Marathon in Memphis. I signed up back in June and reserved my hotel. However, mother nature had other plans. We had a round of bad winter weather that left roads iced over for several days, so they ended up canceling the race. I checked and luckily my hotel will refund me my money, while others are not. Now, I was going to complete this race, but had I trained for it? No. I've been way too busy the past few months to take hours out of my dad and weekend to run. I had a house to finish and move into and a wedding to plan and attend. Anyways. I'm thinking about running the Nashville one in April. We will see. On another note the winter weather had us trapped on our hill for four days, before the temperatures reached 32 and the ice could melt some. Kev and I definitely enjoyed spending some quality time together and had a blast sledding.
