Shopping and Decorating

I'm tryig to get each room furnished and decorated slowly but surely. I have been focusing on the guest bedroom. I saw this pillow in Pier One the other day. I want to use these colors in that room. I've got a red duvet cover on that bed. I her got shams to go with it, but I found some at Bed, Bath, and Beyond that match perfectly.
I liked this pillow too. I want to use the teal and orange as accent colors.
The antique cabinet Kev's dad gave us is in there. I still need a headboard for the bed and at least one side table and lamp. I want to make a headboard out of pallets. I have the pallets. I just have to tear the boards off. I really like this lamp. They had this side table at Ross too. I kind of like have a table that is metal so there isn't so much wood in there. It was cheap, so I may go back and get it this week.
This picture was at Pier One. I really like it. I think maybe I could paint it.
The office has a purple and gray floral comforter on it that I've had for awhile. I would like to find something not so girly. I like this orange and gray. The bed in there is a twin. I want to get a daybed frame and make it into a couch like area.
I am going to keep my focus for now on the guest bedroom. The pillow at Pier One was pricey, but will probably make that my splurge item in there. I'm sure I can find a lamp similar way cheaper than that one. I may be able to paint the base on a cheap one and add the shade.

I took Hatfield to the vet this morning to get some sort of booster shot and his nails clipped. He is such a baby! Look at him hiding under my chair.

Football Merchandise

It's football season and Walmart has all their Razorback merchandise out. I was browsing the aisle the other day and saw these. I immediately thought whiskey! A great way to sneak liquor into the stadium. Of course the back says intended for water only. Yeah right! No one looks at this and says water.

Ballyseede Castle

Tralle was a good stopping point from Dingle to Doolin. When looking for places to stay I came across the Ballyseede Castle Hotel. It was a little pricey, but since we had such great deals on all of the other B&Bs, I splurged. It's one of the best known Castle Hotels in Ireland, has a history dating back to the 1590’s and sits on 30 acres of native woodlands. The castle has 23 en-suite bedrooms and 3 beautiful private rooms complimented by enchanting formal gardens. To read about the history of the castle click here. We stayed in the Coghill room.   We had a nice view of the gardens. Here are other pictures from inside the castle. We had to have our picture made with the knights.   We Googled and found a restaurant in town that was supposed to be delicious. It was nestled on the shore overlooking the bay. We arrived about 5:30 and watched the sunset. The food was fabulous, however the service was not. ...

A Sunday Swim

Sunday afternoon we decided to take a drive. When it was time for the dogs to get in their pen, Hatfield refused. He just stood at the car door. He wanted to go to. So we loaded them up and headed out. Our drive took us to a small lake about 20 minutes always. I didn't even know it existed. Anyways, we let the dogs swim. They loved it! Watch Lilly leap like a dolphin. Hilarious! Or at least it is to us.
