Ballyseede Castle

Tralle was a good stopping point from Dingle to Doolin. When looking for places to stay I came across the Ballyseede Castle Hotel. It was a little pricey, but since we had such great deals on all of the other B&Bs, I splurged.

It's one of the best known Castle Hotels in Ireland, has a history dating back to the 1590’s and sits on 30 acres of native woodlands. The castle has 23 en-suite bedrooms and 3 beautiful private rooms complimented by enchanting formal gardens. To read about the history of the castle click here.
We stayed in the Coghill room.

We had a nice view of the gardens.

Here are other pictures from inside the castle.

We had to have our picture made with the knights.

We Googled and found a restaurant in town that was supposed to be delicious. It was nestled on the shore overlooking the bay. We arrived about 5:30 and watched the sunset. The food was fabulous, however the service was not. The wait staff was very rude to us. Once we received our food, we were never checked on again. Not even to see if we wanted another drink. Everyone around us was getting anything they wanted at anytime. We tried to flag the lady down, but she would not even look our way. After waiting for the check, Kev finally just went up there and paid. I have never been treated so poorly at a restaurant.

Football Merchandise

It's football season and Walmart has all their Razorback merchandise out. I was browsing the aisle the other day and saw these. I immediately thought whiskey! A great way to sneak liquor into the stadium. Of course the back says intended for water only. Yeah right! No one looks at this and says water.

And a Roof

They finished the roof up today! Back of the house. Front of the house. They use these to hold the plywood together.

Dogwoods

Sunday I inventoried our Dogwood Trees. We have 24 total. Some are just small bushes. There are probably about 12 big trees. I marked them so that when we are clearing brush later we won't kill them. My hope is to clear out some around them so they can all grow into large trees. They are absolutely beautiful to look at!!! I want to get some more pictures, but I got Poison Ivy on my legs the other day so I'm staying out of the woods for now.
