New Blog Name

I'm thinking of a new blog name since it's no longer must me and the animals. Really it hasn't been in a couple of years, but now I need to incorporate Kev into this here blog. So far I've not come up with anything I like.

Just a few of the 138 pictures my photographer sent me. He did an amazing job!! I can't wait to see the wedding photos and video!

Wedding Weekend

I took off Thursday and Friday of last week to do wedding stuff. Thursday I picked up our rings, the guy's ties, and ran a few other errands before I headed to Hot Springs. I drove straight to the lake house and unloaded the massive amounts of stuff in my car and went out to the barn. My aunt took off a few days to work on the wedding.  We hung tons of glass jar lanterns in the big tree we were getting married under. One of the seating areas. I bough the cutest pillows that are deep purple and ruffled for the benches. Dad and Spencer built a dance floor. And we they hung crystal chandeliers in the barn and the tent. I drove back home Thursday night because I still had to pack my things. Friday morning consisted of setting up tables and chairs and getting my nails done. I called one of the best day spas in hot springs and made an appointment. She did an AWFUL job!! I cried when I got in the car. I admit, they were in terrible shape. Peeling. Some short, some

I LOVE it!!  Of course things got of schedule. The granite man took forever getting my granite ready. I don't know who was stressed out more my dad, my mom, or me. Anyways he finally got them in this weekend!! I took a peek yesterday after school. Kitchen Kitchen Sink Guest Bath Master Bath Everyone will be back up Wednesday. The plumber will hook up the sinks and install the faucets. Spencer will finish the shower tile and start the backsplash and dog shower. The cabinet man will be up to fix the shelving next to the fireplace, put on cabinet hardware, and make my appliance garage. Dad will put a coat of sealer on the back bedrooms and bathroom, install my closet rods, and any other things that need to be done

Ring troubles

Well it looks like I will have to buy Kev a new ring tomorrow and find me a decent stand in until I can find someone else to make mine. The guy who made my engagement ring didn't get my band made and is out of town until after the wedding. His wife claims I didn't tell her the wedding date, but I specifically remember, because I knew he was out of town and she said three weeks would be long enough.  Anyways. It's sucks and I'm really pissed at them. We had another incident recently with them after I dropped my stones off. If I'd known I would have never used them again.  Real rings or stand ins, we are getting married and that's all that matters!

I'm READY for a Day Off!

We have spent the last three weekends working both Saturday and Sunday sunup to sundown on the house. Which I don't mind. In ready for it to be done, but I'm freaking exhausted!! I just want one day to sleep in and not have a thing to do. I guess that's why people go on honeymoon. Between last minute wedding errand, going to Lowe's or Home Depot daily, and teaching school; I am running constantly. When I really need to be doing some real running. I have two halves coming up in December and I've not gotten one long run in. I've not even got my short runs in. Anyways, here's your weekend house update.  Saturday... Painted the patched hole in the office Puttied nail holes in all the trim except crown molding (I have to do that this week one night.) My aunt and I went to Southern Wholeaale to look at flowers today. The cooler (or should I say freezer. I had to get a jacket)smelled absolutely wonderful. There was do much to chose from. She had a very long list when we left.  These are the two bouquets I showed her. It want be long !  I'm so excited I can't stand it.

It's Getting There

Dad and I sent Sunday sanding, staining, and sanding boards and trim p ieces for the closets along with the crown molding. The trim work and closets should be completed today!   Spencer started on the shower.
