My Strange Animals

School is three weeks in and I have been so busy and tired. The animals have done several things over the last couple of weeks that have been worth documenting but I've been to tired lazy to do it. So here it goes.

I left the shower door slighly open and Perla decided she wanted to take a shower.
She likes to sneak out at night when we let the dogs in. Most of the time I think about it and check to see if she is in or out, however the other night I didn't. I must have been sleeping realy hard becaseu I never heard her scream but Kev did and got up to see what was going on. Hatfield ran out the door to secure the yard of whatever was out there. Probably a coon. Anyways, she had climbed to the VERY top of the cedar tree by the porch. This is her making her way down.
Lilly being the escape artist she is dug a huge hole under the gate to their pen. Kev filled it with huge rocks and put a very large log on top. Well she managed to dig the rocks out and move teh log. So the next day he got even a BIGGER log and hammered a stake against it so it wouldn't move. SHE MOVED IT!! But not without getting hurt. I came home and there was blood dripping down her backside. She stabbed herself twice on the bottom of the fence. You would thnk she would learn her lesson.
Perla had a vet appointment last week and I decided to take Lilly too because she has some sores on her bottom. Perla hates car rides and being in her carrier. She whined the whole way there and back. Lilly kept looking back at her like she was telling her it was ok.
Lilly hid undery legs while we were in the waiting room. When the assistant came to help me with Perla Lilly growled at her. She's protective of her kitty.

So that an animal update.

Football Merchandise

It's football season and Walmart has all their Razorback merchandise out. I was browsing the aisle the other day and saw these. I immediately thought whiskey! A great way to sneak liquor into the stadium. Of course the back says intended for water only. Yeah right! No one looks at this and says water.

And a Roof

They finished the roof up today! Back of the house. Front of the house. They use these to hold the plywood together.

Floating the Caddo River

We floated the Caddo River with some friends Saturday. The scenery was beautiful and the water was flowing nicely. It took us a little over four hours and we only flipped the canoe once.  We came to some quick rapids and very low trees. While trying to duck under the trees, so our heads didn't get knocked off, we both leaned too far and there we went. Luckily everything was in dry bags and tied down. Well, almost everything. Kev was trying to put his phone back into the dry box but didn't get to it fast enough. His phone got wet, but seems to work ok after sitting in a bag of rice for a few days. I didn't have my shoes strapped tight so they slid off. A friend in front of us managed to grab one shoe and one paddle. We carefully walked the canoe across the rapid and dumped the water out. I will admit I was pissed off about my shoe. I didn't talk to Kev for awhile. I know it wasn't his fault, but I wanted to be mad at someone. He promised he would replace th
