Doors and More

I got doors last week! I knew the back doors would have four panels, but I didn't know they would
do this!!
I thought the middle two would open and the end panels would be stationary. Nope you can fully open up both sides. Dad said you can get roller screens that roll into the door frame and hook to a magnet on the other side when closed. Yes, we will be installing those, because I get an amazing breeze, even in the heat of the summer.
The garage door. Not sure why it has a window but oh well. It works. I'm thinking of installing a kitty door on this door and the laundry room door so that Perla can use her litter box in the garage.
The front door. It has a wood finish look and will match the columns.

Inside doors. They have to be stained and then they will be ready to put on. I'm sure that is how I will spend my Sunday. Staining trim and doors.
The frame for the fireplace.
The fireplace.

Hopefully, I will have pictures of the siding and stone this weekend. They have been working on it this week. All that is left are the gables and front.

Football Merchandise

It's football season and Walmart has all their Razorback merchandise out. I was browsing the aisle the other day and saw these. I immediately thought whiskey! A great way to sneak liquor into the stadium. Of course the back says intended for water only. Yeah right! No one looks at this and says water.

And a Roof

They finished the roof up today! Back of the house. Front of the house. They use these to hold the plywood together.

Ballyseede Castle

Tralle was a good stopping point from Dingle to Doolin. When looking for places to stay I came across the Ballyseede Castle Hotel. It was a little pricey, but since we had such great deals on all of the other B&Bs, I splurged. It's one of the best known Castle Hotels in Ireland, has a history dating back to the 1590’s and sits on 30 acres of native woodlands. The castle has 23 en-suite bedrooms and 3 beautiful private rooms complimented by enchanting formal gardens. To read about the history of the castle click here. We stayed in the Coghill room.   We had a nice view of the gardens. Here are other pictures from inside the castle. We had to have our picture made with the knights.   We Googled and found a restaurant in town that was supposed to be delicious. It was nestled on the shore overlooking the bay. We arrived about 5:30 and watched the sunset. The food was fabulous, however the service was not. ...
