Bronze Metal Roof

Our roof will be finished tomorrow! This is all the metal sheets stacked up and on the trailer.

In the picture on the right my dad is cutting and bending the sharp points.

The other guy is placing a sticky strip along the edge.

My brother constructed a climbing ladder that hooks to the other side of the roof and allows him to climb on the slick metal. I will post a picture of the finished product tomorrow! Next step is to stain the concrete and cover it up.

Pool Time!

We spent the weekend at our friends' pool. We took the dogs with us Sunday so they could have a play date. M and B have to pit bulls that are so sweet. Nahla, the youngest one, loves to play! They were also puppy sitting the cutest beagle ever! They absolutely love going places! They were waiting in the car while I was loading our things. I've never been able to get Hatfield in the pool, but Lilly loves it. She started off just sitting on the steps and one day she just jumped in. So, now she jumps in every now and then to cool off. Kev mixed up refreshing peach mojitos (I guess I've had major peach craving lately) this weekend. I'd share the recipe but that's his job. I never really know what all goes into what I'm drinking. I just know it's delicious!

And a Roof

They finished the roof up today! Back of the house. Front of the house. They use these to hold the plywood together.

The Crud

I feel like crud! I've blown my nose so much this weekend that my face is raw and red. I can't imagine how I have this much snot in me. Anyways. I didn't get my Thursday 3 miler in or my 9 mile long run this weekend. How can I run when I can't freaking breathe?!? I've been taking medicine and using my Nettie Pot, so here's hoping I feel like running towards the end of this week. So glad this is a short work week and a field trip on Wednesday. I NEED a break!!
