Around Town

With summer school over I have been running errands this week, eating lunch and dinner with friends, and going to Jazzercise. I LOVE Jazzercise. I used to go all the time. I had to take someone to work over on that side of town so I just went afterwards. I stopped going because I hated driving 20 minutes across town and the times weren't convenient anymore.

I found these at Bed, Bath, and Beyond when I went to look for towels for my registry. I want one so bad!
Mom and I went to several flea markets and antique stores Thursday looking for doors for the wedding. Dad is making me doors to stand behind and walk through. I've been on the lookout for vintage Pyrex and found this bowl for $4.00.
We don't have a Home Goods in L.R., so anytime I am in H.S. I like to browse. I love this cabinet. It would be a great bar if it had a shelf or something for glasses.
Yesterday I went shopping for fireplaces. I didn't take any pictures of them.

Recreation of London Beef and Mushroom Pie

While in London I ate this wonderful beef and mushroom pie! I wanted to recreate it and use some of the deer steak in our freezer. I found this recipe . Of course like most recipes I tweaked it a little. I added green peas and left out the celery. I also used pie crust instead of puffed pastry. I made individual ones in these cute Corningware dishes. They were delicious!

Can't Wait to Finally Have a Garage!

This morning it was 28 degrees outside! I warmed my car up for 20 minutes and all the frost still wasn't off the windows. I can't wait til next winter when I will have a garage to park in. Not only for winter months but all months truly. In the fall I always get acorns and leaves stuck in my window. In the summer my car is always covered in bird poop and hot and in spring it's covered in pollen. Just one of the reasons I'm so excited about building a house. Having garage to park in!

A Sunday Swim

Sunday afternoon we decided to take a drive. When it was time for the dogs to get in their pen, Hatfield refused. He just stood at the car door. He wanted to go to. So we loaded them up and headed out. Our drive took us to a small lake about 20 minutes always. I didn't even know it existed. Anyways, we let the dogs swim. They loved it! Watch Lilly leap like a dolphin. Hilarious! Or at least it is to us.
