Flower Bed Update

Here are my semi-finished flower beds. I won't plant the trees I want in the until fall.

I will replace the potted Tulip tree with another tree that will stay green all year. Maybe a Drawf Magnolia since it won't lose its leaves in the winter.
I think I want to add two very small and short Japanese Maples to this front bed.

Our garden bed. everything is growing so far. I also have lettuce and herbs in pots on the back patio that are doing well.
If you look at the house in the background you can see that we are waiting to pour concrete in the drive and a walkway. Once that is done and I get enough rocks racked out of the front I will plant white azailas in front of the garage windows and try to see some grass. It's just been a process, but I'm okay with waiting.

I finally got this table set from my grandmother' house and purchased these cushions for the chairs. They match the red cushions one the lounge chairs.

Football Merchandise

It's football season and Walmart has all their Razorback merchandise out. I was browsing the aisle the other day and saw these. I immediately thought whiskey! A great way to sneak liquor into the stadium. Of course the back says intended for water only. Yeah right! No one looks at this and says water.

And a Roof

They finished the roof up today! Back of the house. Front of the house. They use these to hold the plywood together.

Ballyseede Castle

Tralle was a good stopping point from Dingle to Doolin. When looking for places to stay I came across the Ballyseede Castle Hotel. It was a little pricey, but since we had such great deals on all of the other B&Bs, I splurged. It's one of the best known Castle Hotels in Ireland, has a history dating back to the 1590’s and sits on 30 acres of native woodlands. The castle has 23 en-suite bedrooms and 3 beautiful private rooms complimented by enchanting formal gardens. To read about the history of the castle click here. We stayed in the Coghill room.   We had a nice view of the gardens. Here are other pictures from inside the castle. We had to have our picture made with the knights.   We Googled and found a restaurant in town that was supposed to be delicious. It was nestled on the shore overlooking the bay. We arrived about 5:30 and watched the sunset. The food was fabulous, however the service was not. ...
