Recreation of London Beef and Mushroom Pie

While in London I ate this wonderful beef and mushroom pie! I wanted to recreate it and use some of the deer steak in our freezer. I found this recipe . Of course like most recipes I tweaked it a little. I added green peas and left out the celery. I also used pie crust instead of puffed pastry. I made individual ones in these cute Corningware dishes. They were delicious!

Flower Bed Update

Here are my semi-finished flower beds. I won't plant the trees I want in the until fall. I will replace the potted Tulip tree with another tree that will stay green all year. Maybe a Drawf Magnolia since it won't lose its leaves in the winter. I think I want to add two very small and short Japanese Maples to this front bed. Our garden bed. everything is growing so far. I also have lettuce and herbs in pots on the back patio that are doing well.  If you look at the house in the background you can see that we are waiting to pour concrete in the drive and a walkway. Once that is done and I get enough rocks racked out of the front I will plant white azailas in front of the garage windows and try to see some grass. It's just been a process, but I'm okay with waiting.  I finally got this table set from my grandmother' house and purchased these cushions for the chairs. They match the red cushions one the lounge chairs.

The paths winded around until we were back at the front. We felt like we missed the whole middle, but we didn't have a map. Since it was scorching hot, we walked through the buildings. We shopped until about 3:00 and decided to have an early dinner at teh worst Mexican place ever. We were in bed asleep by 8:00.     We arrived at the gate Saturday before 8:00. Our plan was to see the outside middle sections that we missed and head towards the other buildings in the afternoon when it got hot. The shopping mood had come over us. We took the cart back to the van three times. Some of the things I bought. The firs
