Workout Room

Eight months later and the workout room is finally finished! Well mostly we still need to mount the TV and a corner shelf under it to place DVDs on.
We started by taking everything out and putting down a plyometrics foam floor we bought at Academy Sports. Must protect the knees when jumping around.
Laying the floor.
Once the floor was in, we put up my ballet barre. I would eventually love to mirror this whole wall.
But for now this huge mirror, given to us by my aunt, will have to do. I do want to paint it before we hang it. That's why its still just propped up against the wall. I'm not a fan of the gold.
The dread mill treadmill and weights against the opposite wall from barre.
Corner where the TV is going to be mounted along with shelves, so eventually the table will be gone.
So really the workout room is not technically "finished", but its functional for now. One thing I have learned with building a new house, there is always something to be done. We will never be "finished". Well… maybe when we are old.

Football Merchandise

It's football season and Walmart has all their Razorback merchandise out. I was browsing the aisle the other day and saw these. I immediately thought whiskey! A great way to sneak liquor into the stadium. Of course the back says intended for water only. Yeah right! No one looks at this and says water.

And a Roof

They finished the roof up today! Back of the house. Front of the house. They use these to hold the plywood together.

House Exteriors

I spend most of my free time these days staring at the freaking computer looking for ideas for our house. There is a site Houzz . It's my new addiction. If you haven't ever explored it check it out. You can type in anything dealing with houses and get thousands and thousands of pictures to browse through. I look at EVERYTHING and pin the things I like on Pinterest. This makes it so easy to go back and review favorites. I have several boards dedicated to various rooms and the outside of the house. My focus these days is on the exterior. Hopefully in the next two weeks I will have a house pad and be ready to frame the house. I  know that I want a metal roof (not sure what color), cedar columns, stone, and cedar siding/shingles. not sure about color combination, how much siding or how much stone, and the front porch and walkway (the front yard will be pretty steep). I'm on Spring Break this week so I plan on visiting some lumber yards so I get a closer look at certain materia...
