A New Year

This year has been busy busy busy. Last New Years I created my one year plan. In that year I wanted to get married to the love of my life and build a house. We did it!! It has been a crazy whirlwind of happiness and stress. We closed on our land in January and a year later we are still finishing things up.

My other goal for last year was to run more. Well that didn't really happen. I didn't do as much running or working out this year. No weight gain though. I plan to pick those back up this year.  Signing up to run the little rock half marathon. I wanted to do the full with a couple of friends, but since I didn't run my two halves in December I decided I wouldn't be ready. I want that 26.2 sticker damn it! Maybe I can run the full St. Jude come December.

Reading more books is also on my goal list.  (There hasn't been any free time for reading this past year.) Books for enjoyment and professional growth.

We had a very low key New Year's Eve this year at home. We grilled a wonderful steak and bought a bottle of champagne. Neither of us stayed wake until midnight. Oh Well. We had Champagne for breakfast!

Hope you have a wonderful 2014! I can't wait to see what's in store for us. Baby talk is in the air.

The serious one.
The silly one.
My babies (for now).

Football Merchandise

It's football season and Walmart has all their Razorback merchandise out. I was browsing the aisle the other day and saw these. I immediately thought whiskey! A great way to sneak liquor into the stadium. Of course the back says intended for water only. Yeah right! No one looks at this and says water.

And a Roof

They finished the roof up today! Back of the house. Front of the house. They use these to hold the plywood together.

Ballyseede Castle

Tralle was a good stopping point from Dingle to Doolin. When looking for places to stay I came across the Ballyseede Castle Hotel. It was a little pricey, but since we had such great deals on all of the other B&Bs, I splurged. It's one of the best known Castle Hotels in Ireland, has a history dating back to the 1590’s and sits on 30 acres of native woodlands. The castle has 23 en-suite bedrooms and 3 beautiful private rooms complimented by enchanting formal gardens. To read about the history of the castle click here. We stayed in the Coghill room.   We had a nice view of the gardens. Here are other pictures from inside the castle. We had to have our picture made with the knights.   We Googled and found a restaurant in town that was supposed to be delicious. It was nestled on the shore overlooking the bay. We arrived about 5:30 and watched the sunset. The food was fabulous, however the service was not. ...
