Poison Ivy Be Gone

The contraption we used to spray poison ivy Sunday. Come to find out we used enough killer for four acres on one or so. It better die!

Crystal Valley Music Festival

This weekend my neighbors had a music festival at their house. A real music festival! With hippies and camping. I really wanted to go check it out but never did. I noticed several cars there on my way home Friday. I just thought they might be having a little party. Later on after a short nap, I decided to go to the grocery store. To my surprise the cars had doubled. People (hippies) were hanging out in the street toting ice chests, chairs, and tents to the back yard. I even saw a few guitars. It reminded me of Bonnaroo or a going to a Wide Spread Panic show. It was almost ten by the time I got back from the grocery store. there were over 100 cars parked along the street and in the vacant lot at the end of the street. You could hear the music until about 12:30 and then they quieted down. I'm sure they stayed up way later.  I snapped a few pictures on my run Saturday morning. There were still about 30-40 cars at 7:00. Several people were packing up and leaving.  Their campgr

Cat got your tail?

Pictures of Perla from last week. She's was playing with/biting Hatfield's tail the other morning.  Crawled into Kev's drawer to take a nap.  "Please turn the flash off. It's so bright!"

Cabinets are in!

Laundry room One bottom cabinet is a pullout for dog food and the recycling tub. The other one has a shelf.  The kitchen!!! I'm in love with my pantry! Ta Da!!! Built in for microwave.  Every sink as one of these.  Book shelves at the end of the island.   Lazy Susan. I have three. One in corner by stove and the other two are top and bottom  corner cabinets on the other side.  Master bathroom.  Pullout drawer that will have a plug in the back or hair dryer, curling iron, razors, and anything else that might plug in.  Linen cabinet in master bath. It separates sink from toilet. There are also cabinets above the toilet.  Guest bath.

82 Days!!

Until I become Mrs.!!!!!  I was supposed to have my bridal portraits today. I borrowed some cowboy boots from a friend. My aunt was in LR, so she came by and did my hair and my BFF came over to drive me. Everything was lined up and then it had the f***ing storm. Ugh!! The photo shoot city was not suppose to get rain according to the radar. So after my BFF loaded the car and I made my way to the car without getting wet, the photographer called to see what we wanted to do.  We noticed a storm had popped up over Conway and decided we better not take the chance. We turn the car around and in the five minutes we were gone the yard was flooded. Yes, I took my dress off in the car. I was not about to trump through mud in it even if it was hicked up. Anyways, we have rescheduled for tomorrow. I'm confident that my BFF can manage my hair since I won't be asking my aunt to make another trip up here. I pray to god it doesn't rain tomorrow!  It is suppose to be hot as hell and sticky t

Drywall

Our drywall started Monday. I drove by there early Monday morning and the guys were delivering the materials. This is the stair hole to the attic and the garages entry door that leads into the mudroom.  The mudroom, laundry room, whatever you want to call it. The purple hole is where the dog shower will be.  View walking into the front door.  View standing at the back doors.  The living room. If you walk through that door you go to the guest rooms and bath.   Master bedroom view standing at the sliding outside door. The door on the left goes into master bath and the other one leads into the hallway where the mudroom door is.  The sink side of the master bath. The tub and shower are on the opposite wall.  Dad made me a storage compartment in the top of our closet. He lowered the ceiling above the dog shower and hot water heater closet. It will be perfect for luggage and shoes.  Kev took a panorama of the living area. It turned out ok. He went too fast in a couple of places.

An Owl Invasion

I've always loved owls. In college owls were my sorority mascot. You could never find owls back then. The only places were sorority/fraternity special shops. I browsed Michael's today while my car was getting worked on. $600 worth of work but that's neither here nor there. Look at all the owls I found in Michael's!! I bought this cute little white pitcher because it was on sale. i really loved the turquoise plate.  It would be darling as a spoon rest by my stove. I saw this one while browsing lighting in Home Depot. I WILL own it!!
