Slowly but Surely

I'm slowly getting my running stamina back! It makes me feel good to see my time getting faster and my mileage getting longer. Kev's hard headedness and my stubbornness caused a small tiff Sunday morning. So I went for a run. It's truly my therapy. I knocked out 3 miles with 11.30 minute average.
I'd been averaging a 13 something minute mile. Nothing like a little frustration to make you runner faster. My plan is to knock out 5 miles this weekend and that become my short runs during the week. My first half marathon is December 1st.

Football Merchandise

It's football season and Walmart has all their Razorback merchandise out. I was browsing the aisle the other day and saw these. I immediately thought whiskey! A great way to sneak liquor into the stadium. Of course the back says intended for water only. Yeah right! No one looks at this and says water.

And a Roof

They finished the roof up today! Back of the house. Front of the house. They use these to hold the plywood together.

Our Kitchen

My favorite room in the whole house!! We still need to put the cabinet pulls on the cabinets. I have them picked out, I think dad has ordered them. We also still have to trim out the appliance garage, microwave, and fridge. The trim pieces are in the garage. I absolutely love being able to cook while watching TV and the open space for entertaining.  There is so much storage! I can finally buy in bulk or buy two of something when it is on sale. I literally had one cabinet for food storage in the rent house. Everything was neatly crammed in there. Now I can actually get something without taking everything out.
