Downtown Christmas Lights

Last night Kev and I had a date night. We ate Flying Fish and walked through the River Market to look at Christmas lights. We were so disappointed.

The tree. It was nothing spectacular and the lights weren't distributed evenly.

The bridges all always lit up. The red and Green for Christmas was pretty.
I have a few videos of the dancing light display they had on the amphitheater stage, but I they are not on my computer and I can't get them to load on my phone. The display was just okay. I figured they would use more of the stage. I was just a few trees and light posts. There are houses that have larger displays. We will be going to them.

It was still a fun date night and was nice to walk downtown, even if they didn't have a lot of lights.

Football Merchandise

It's football season and Walmart has all their Razorback merchandise out. I was browsing the aisle the other day and saw these. I immediately thought whiskey! A great way to sneak liquor into the stadium. Of course the back says intended for water only. Yeah right! No one looks at this and says water.

And a Roof

They finished the roof up today! Back of the house. Front of the house. They use these to hold the plywood together.

Ballyseede Castle

Tralle was a good stopping point from Dingle to Doolin. When looking for places to stay I came across the Ballyseede Castle Hotel. It was a little pricey, but since we had such great deals on all of the other B&Bs, I splurged. It's one of the best known Castle Hotels in Ireland, has a history dating back to the 1590’s and sits on 30 acres of native woodlands. The castle has 23 en-suite bedrooms and 3 beautiful private rooms complimented by enchanting formal gardens. To read about the history of the castle click here. We stayed in the Coghill room.   We had a nice view of the gardens. Here are other pictures from inside the castle. We had to have our picture made with the knights.   We Googled and found a restaurant in town that was supposed to be delicious. It was nestled on the shore overlooking the bay. We arrived about 5:30 and watched the sunset. The food was fabulous, however the service was not. ...
