My Little Follower

Lilly follows me around EVERYWHERE! Whenever I leave the room she usually follows. If I use the bathroom, she is right under my feet. She lays on the bathroom rug while I shower. She lays on the kitchen floor when I'm cooking or cleaning up. The laundry room floor while I'm folding clothes and wants to be on the couch if I am sitting on it.

I've wondered why she does this, until the other day. I realized I trained her to do this! When she was eight weeks old, I made her come in whatever room I was in. I even put a large pillow on the bathroom floor and shut her in the bathroom with me when I was getting ready. The reason? I was scared she would chew something up. Which she has done. But I also didn't want Hatfield to snap at her when I wasn't watching. He can be cantankerous at times.

So... now I have a dog that thinks she must follow me around where ever I go!

Football Merchandise

It's football season and Walmart has all their Razorback merchandise out. I was browsing the aisle the other day and saw these. I immediately thought whiskey! A great way to sneak liquor into the stadium. Of course the back says intended for water only. Yeah right! No one looks at this and says water.

Ballyseede Castle

Tralle was a good stopping point from Dingle to Doolin. When looking for places to stay I came across the Ballyseede Castle Hotel. It was a little pricey, but since we had such great deals on all of the other B&Bs, I splurged. It's one of the best known Castle Hotels in Ireland, has a history dating back to the 1590’s and sits on 30 acres of native woodlands. The castle has 23 en-suite bedrooms and 3 beautiful private rooms complimented by enchanting formal gardens. To read about the history of the castle click here. We stayed in the Coghill room.   We had a nice view of the gardens. Here are other pictures from inside the castle. We had to have our picture made with the knights.   We Googled and found a restaurant in town that was supposed to be delicious. It was nestled on the shore overlooking the bay. We arrived about 5:30 and watched the sunset. The food was fabulous, however the service was not. ...

A Sunday Swim

Sunday afternoon we decided to take a drive. When it was time for the dogs to get in their pen, Hatfield refused. He just stood at the car door. He wanted to go to. So we loaded them up and headed out. Our drive took us to a small lake about 20 minutes always. I didn't even know it existed. Anyways, we let the dogs swim. They loved it! Watch Lilly leap like a dolphin. Hilarious! Or at least it is to us.
